Operation Volunteers is a nonprofit organization created in March 2006 by a group of veteran volunteers who wanted to give back to their community. We focus on connecting veterans and civilians with needed services and opportunities in their local communities. Our mission is to provide free or low cost services that support community life and help connect veterans and civilians with the resources they need to succeed. We have offices in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Operation Volunteers is a volunteer-driven organization that connects people who want to make a difference in their community with opportunities to do just that. Volunteers with Operation Volunteers are instrumental in making a difference in their local community by doing things like providing support to the elderly and those with disabilities, providing disaster relief, or simply giving back to their local community. To sign up for Operation Volunteers, individuals must first create an account. Once they have created an account, they can browse through different volunteering opportunities that are available in their local area. Once they have found an opportunity that they are interested in, they can sign up for the volunteering opportunity by clicking on the “Sign Up” button. After they have signed up, they will receive instructions on how to get started with their volunteering experience.
